Mardeeville essentially has a dual plot structure with The “Serious” plot, and the “Shenanigans” plot. Both are unfolding at the same time and have their corresponding characters. And occasionally they intersect – typically during climactic moments of the story.
The Shenanigans plot is a kind-of “slice of life” where it essentially revolves around the several misadventures of the group, along with some other characters getting involved along the way. These ‘episodes’ are meant to be stupid and comedic, though you could say they flesh out the city and its inhabitants, culture, etc. And while they are meant to be dumb and simple they still sometimes have an actual meaningful plot behind them that has effects later on.
The serious plot has several moving parts to it but mainly revolves around the convicts, the gangs, and the MVPD. The convicts are either evading the MVPD or banding together to fight back, while gang war politics and MVPD strategizing goes on in the background.
A group of 5 guys stranded in North Mardeeville. They all work at The Emporium and are barely able to pay rent while their house keeps getting destroyed (half the time its their own fault). Currently housing a wanted MPA convict because they lack intuition.
The 6 MPA prisoners who miraculously escaped the megaprison due to pure chance working out in their favor.
The people who are / have worked at Pollo’s Emporium stuck handling and cataloguing scrap.
Members of primordial species who govern their respective territories of the multiverse.
